There are 4 different designs of end rafters, please mention in purhcase the end rafter design or customize your own design, just send us a brief design, and we can develop and improve what you have in mind.

Posts can be 6"x 6" or 4"x 4" of solid redwood.
Rafters can be 2"x 6" or 2"x 4".
Separation between rafters can be from 12" to 24".
Height can be 8ft to 12ft.
Length of pergola is measured from rafter to rafter. Therefore a 12ft x 12ft pergola would be 10ft x 10ft from post to post.

Home Depot Verified Purchase Review

The wood is beautiful, but the instructions are not super specific. There were supposed to marks on some of the wood to indicate where to install some of the rafters but there were not, so I had to do a little math and measuring, so not a huge deal, but you will have to have some basic construction knowledge to complete installation. Particularly if you want to anchor to concrete, there are no instructions, or guidance, or suggested equipment to do it. You'll have to use other resources. Also one of the pieces of lumber was mislabeled, but an easy fix. and one of the holes wasn't drilled all the way through. and a BIG one, I ordered the 20x20. It took a long time and a lot of special equipment to deliver. contact the shipper before your delivery date to confirm details, AND expect a huge amount of packing material. It comes in a huge very well constructed cedar box. Took a full day to break down shipping material just to be able to dispose of it. hundreds of screws, staples, and glue and foam packing material. A lot.

Issues in delivery, but solved by Best Redwood

I purchased on Home Depot: 3 - 14ft redwood pergola for my patio. When the driver arrived to make the delivery, he mentioned that it couldn't fit in the lift gate, and that I had to unloaded. We are talking about 1500 lbs crates. there was no way, plus the driver had a terrible attitude, told me that I had to return to manufacturer, and left!

I really wanted this pergolas at the price I bought them for. So I called the manufacturer Best Redwood, and they sent me 3 new porgolas at the same price, this time I was ready and had a contractor with a team of people ready to recieve the order and that same they unloaded the pergolas and installed them in my patio. They look great, please see picture attached.

Great traditional Pergola

This is a great pergola and solid too. Made with real redwood 6x6 posts and 2x6 beams just looks awesome. The stain is well applied and accentuates the natural grain and look of the wood. Delivery was under the time frame and no issues with the help of some workers to unload the crate the pergola is sent in. We went for the 16 x 16ft pergola since we have a 14 x 14ft patio cooking area.

Couldn't be more pleased!! 5 out of 5 stars.

Do your 20x20 foot pergolas have only 4 posts?

Yes, our 20ft x 20ft pergolas have 4 posts and 20ft solid rafters. Anything bigger than that, we do add more posts to the pergola.

Need inf on 14 by 14, how after apart the poles inside beams? Can the height be raised?

The posts are positioned 1ft inwards on each side inside the beams. Therefore a 14ft x 14ft Pergola, posts would be 12ft apart from each other from the outside of the post to the outside of the post.

I have a patio I would like to put a pergola on. The area is 18'x31' and needs to be 12' high because of a deck coming off of the back door. Is this something you could build?

Do you have to anchor the 14x14 pergalo to concrete

We recommend to anchor your Pergola, even though a pergola is heavy and difficult to move once assembled, it has to be anchored securely to the ground for a number of reasons. Primary among them is safety.
Looking for a 13x13 size for your Outdoor Super Deck Redwood Pergola and at 12" Rafter pitch. Including the mounting hardware for the concrete slab. Also do you have any rollup sun screen option?
